- How can I check camping/touring availability?
Availability for camping/touring can be checked online HERE.
- Can I choose where I pitch up?
With online bookings, pitches are allocated by our booking system. If you would like to request a particular pitch or area, please email info@riverdart.co.uk with your preferences.
- What size are pitches?
Pitches are approximately 11m x 11m. This is an approximate measurement, and some pitches may vary.
- Are campfires allowed?
All BBQs & braziers must be raised off the ground. For your safety no burning of wood. Smokeless fuel is available to purchase onsite.
- I’ve booked an electric pitch, what cable do I need to bring?
Guests with tents on electric pitches require an exterior use camping cable with an RCD unit, and 3 pin plug socket(s) for their appliances. Guests with caravans, motorhomes, and campervans, require an electric hook-up cable to plug into our electric box, then into their van or motorhome. All cables should be 16A and have a waterproof rating of IP44 or higher. We recommend cables should be a minimum of 25 metres in length.
- Can I add another tent to my pitch?
Only one car with caravan, tent or trailer tent, or one motorhome is included per pitch. Awnings (with breathable groundsheets) and pup tents (maximum one of each per pitch) are included in the price. Gazebos are also included but must be securely fastened at least 3 metres from the nearest tent, awning or caravan at the discretion of the site warden.
- Can I camp next to my friends?
Camping alongside friends and family is subject to availability. It is not always possible but can be requested by emailing us at info@riverdart.co.uk.
- If I book two pitches, will they be allocated together?
Not necessarily, as this is subject to availability. Therefore, if you would prefer to camp alongside friends and family, please request this by emailing info@riverdart.co.uk and we can check availability.
- Are shopping deliveries allowed to your site?
Supermarket deliveries are only permitted in exceptional circumstances and with prior arrangement.
- Do campers get free access to the River Dart Country Park visitor attraction?
Yes. Prices include free entry to park activities for the duration of your holiday – Dare Devil activities and Dartmoor Bike Park available at additional cost and open during selected dates.
- Do B&B guests get free access to the River Dart Country Park visitor attraction?

- Are dogs permitted in your B&B accommodation?
Neither dogs nor smoking are permitted anywhere in Holne Park House.
dAY vISITS
- Can I buy Day Admission tickets to River Dart Country Park on the gate?
Pre-booking Day Admission tickets is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. Day Admission tickets purchased at point of entry will be charged at a higher rate and promotional offers will not be applicable. Pre-book prior to arrival at www.riverdart.co.uk to avoid disappointment.
- What’s included in the Day Admission ticket?
Day Admission tickets give access to our large Adventure Playgrounds with the following activities and areas included: Agility Trail, Anaconda, Bike Trail, Climbing Pods, Commando Assault course, Dam Pool, Football Zone, Jungle Fun, Low Ropes Course, Mini Zip Wire, Obstacle Course, Observation Tower, Pirate Ship, Secret Valley, Snake Slides, Space Net, Spiders Web, Toddlers Beach, Toddlers Playground (Lilliput), Tree Trail Activity, Trim Trail Fitness Challenge (Youth & Adult use only), Tyre Swings, Wooden Play Fort and more! Please note – Dare Devil activities and Dartmoor Bike Park are available at additional cost and must be pre-booked at www.riverdart.co.uk.
- Do you have a free returns policy for Day Admissions?
There are no free returns policies for day admissions.
- Do I have to pay for parking in addition to my Day Admission ticket?
No, parking is included in the Day Admission ticket price.
gENERAL
- Do you accept cash payments?
We no longer accept cash at any location on site. We accept card and contactless payments only.
- Do you have any job vacancies?
Job vacancies will be posted HERE when they become available.
- Do you offer Blue Light discount?
We don’t offer Blue Light discount. We currently offer a carer discount for Day Admission ONLY. For more details click HERE
- Is fishing allowed at River Dart Country Park?
Yes, fishing is available throughout the camping season, however, a rod fishing license needs to be obtained to fish in the river. A fishing permit would also need to be obtained directly from us. Fly fishing only, and from our side of the river, from the waterworks bridge up to Holne bridge. For more information regarding fishing please visit https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences
- Are canoes and stand-up paddle boards allowed in the lakes?
Visitors are prohibited from using their own canoes and stand-up paddle boards in any of the lakes. Inflatables such as dinghies and pool inflatables are very welcome in our Pirate Ship Lake only. Canoe and Kayak hire are available from Dare Devil activities during select dates at additional cost. Please click HERE for more details.
- Can I make a reservation at the Old Sawmill Café Bar?
Yes, bookings are subject to availability on select dates. Please click HERE for details.
- Do you sell wetsuits?
The lakes are fed by the river and water quality varies. Wetsuits are recommended and available to purchase on-site.
