Job Description

The post holder must have excellent creative, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to liaise with senior managers, colleagues, external designers and printers in a professional manner. Able to demonstrate an excellent eye for detail. Able to prioritise a varied workload efficiently and meet deadlines. Be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and out of office hours.

Key Duties

  • Ability to manage multiple social media channels across different business requirements, ensuring the correct brand is apparent.
  • Ability to write engaging content.
  • Develop social media strategies and editorial ideas, sourcing relevant imagery & information as required.
  • Report and analyse web, social and PR activity to senior colleagues.
  • Professionally respond to customer comments & messages on social media and a variety of review platforms including Google Business and TripAdvisor – both in and out of office hours.
  • Ability to create and deliver marketing campaigns via Mailchimp & database.
  • Assist the events team & senior management in planning & publicising events as required.
  • Undertake general office duties as required to assist in the smooth running of the business.
  • Able to produce various marketing material including copywriting, advert design, editing, website and online content.
  • Assist in developing and instigating the marketing strategy.
  • Create a quarterly newsletter.
  • Seek and capitalise on PR opportunities to positively promote the business.
  • Liaise with the media and influencers to seek out opportunities for press/blogger and vlogger visits.
  • Ensure websites are current and up to date.

Skills and Experience

  • A recent graduate or with proven digital marketing experience.
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms and the ability to analyse and report on performance.
  • IT literate including MS office applications.
  • Previous experience with CMS web systems including WordPress and Joomla.
  • Familiar with SEO activity & Google Analytics.
  • Experience and good knowledge of paid digital advertising tools including Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager.
  • Proficient in design for print/digital adverting using editing software including Canva and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with work colleagues and clients, both corporate and public.
  • Write with exceptional grammar and spelling skills.
  • Confident to offer suggestions and ideas to promote the business.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to use own initiative.
  • An organised and methodical in approach to work.
  • Previous experience in the tourism/hospitality industry advantageous.

You need to be able to work with speed and efficiency and demonstrate confidence and flexibility.   • Service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to our customers in both the Old Sawmill and Holne Park House.
  • Making speciality coffee and hot drinks. Full barista training will be given.
  • Waiting/Serving to tables in a professional manor. 
  • Maintaining the highest level of customer service. 
  • To maintain a high level of stock control, including rotation and storage.
  • Deliveries to be put away using the correct manual handling procedures.
  • Keeping the cellar clean and organised. Changing kegs and general cellar duties.
  • To ensure all workstations and areas are kept clean and tidy during and at the end of the shift, whilst maintaining our 5* food hygiene rating across site. 
  • Taking food/drink orders efficiently on the Epos tills whilst using the correct cash handling procedures.
