BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE – We’re pleased to announce that we have achieved the AA COVID Confident accreditation. River Dart Country Park has been recognised as an establishment with the necessary risk assessments, safety measures and staff training, in line with the Government and UKHospitality’s published guidelines to operate safely.
Dear River Dart visitors,
As we move into the autumn/winter months, we would like to take the opportunity to update you on our coronavirus policy.
Visitor and staff safety is our top priority. Therefore, we welcome and encourage that everyone continues to follow these safety measures;
- Regular hand washing.
- Regular hand sanitising.
- Face coverings – Wearing of face coverings is now down to personal choice.
- Please respect others and maintain social distancing.
Our campsite arrival and first aid procedure, and online food ordering system will also remain in place. Full details can be found below. Thank you for your continued support and patience, lets all help each other stay safe!

Important – Please read prior to leaving home
Customer service and ‘face to face’ contact with our helpful staff has always been at the forefront of how we operate. However, this summer we are required to minimise such contact but we do not wish our reputation for excellent service to suffer so we have put in place suitable ‘socially distant’ measures to help you where necessary.
However, we request that you, your family, and friends carefully follow the points below to keep you and that of fellow guests and our staff safe and healthy during this pandemic.
Useful information for Campers and Caravanners;
• A map of the Campsite and Park is available to view here.
• Park information can also be found here.
• Your Car Pass (Available in the document emailed to campers prior to arrival, is to be completed and printed off before arrival and displayed on your dashboard)
• Covid-19 Policy and Special Conditions can be found here.
Your pitch will be available from noon – please do not arrive early.
Reception will be closed. Therefore prior to arrival, please; –
- Print off your Car Pass which is always to be displayed in your car.
On arrival, check in with our Wardens at the campsite entrance barrier.
- Please make sure you set up camp on the correct pitch – you will have to move if not!
- Please arrive in daylight.
Watch our arrival procedure video available here.
- Our pitches are large, but we require you to keep not only within your pitch but at least 1m clear from the edge.
- No ‘linking’ of pitches and please respect your neighbours with no walking across pitches.
- Respect your fellow guests.
An enhanced cleaning schedule of our amenity blocks is in place. This takes time so please be patient as access will not be permitted during a clean. Please use another facility if urgently required.
High touch areas such as keypads, push pads, door handles, taps, door locks etc will have been treated with a long lasting (up to 30 days) anti-microbial shield which kills germs and the virus. However, we would still recommend regular handwashing with soap.
A detailed cleaning guide with the chemical-free systems we are using will be clearly displayed.
Please leave facilities as you would wish to find them – Respect your fellow guests
