Staff at River Dart Country Park

After the sunniest Spring on record when no-one was allowed far from their home, we are delighted to welcome you to the River Dart Country Park from Saturday July 4th 2020.

Customer service and ‘face to face’ contact with our helpful staff has always been at the forefront of how we operate. However, this summer we are required to minimise such contact but we do not wish our reputation for excellent service to suffer so we have put in place suitable ‘socially distant’ measures to help you where necessary.

However, we request that you, your family, and friends carefully follow the points below to keep you and that of fellow guests and our staff safe and healthy during this pandemic.

Campers and Caravanners will receive via email the following information and attachments some of which you will need to print off before leaving home;-

  • Pitch number, Car Pass, and barrier code
  • Map of the Campsite and Park
  • Park information
  • Covid-19 Policy and Special Conditions

Arrival Procedures

Your pitch will be available from noon– please do not arrive early.

Reception will be closed. Therefore prior to arrival, please;

  • Study the campsite map and find your pitch
  • Print off your Car Pass which is always to be displayed in your car.

On arrival, please make your way to the Campsite entrance barrier by the Tennis Courts, park in the ‘Arrivals lay by’ and await instructions. Please stay in your car and a staff member will come to you. Study the map to know where your pitch is.

  • Please make sure you set up camp on the correct pitch – you will have to move if not!
  • Please arrive in daylight.

Pitch boundaries

  • Our pitches are large, but we require you to keep not only within your pitch but at least 1m clear from the edge.
  • No ‘linking’ of pitches and please respect your neighbours with no walking across pitches.
  • Respect your fellow guests.

Shared Facilities

River Dart Country Park changes for Covid 19

It is especially important that before entering any building everyone wears a face covering and either washes their hands or uses hand sanitiser – thus ensuring the Coronavirus does not enter on people’s hands. Face coverings will become mandatory when visiting our Park Shop from 24th July 2020.

An enhanced cleaning schedule of our amenity blocks is in place. This takes time so please be patient as access will not be permitted during a clean. Please use another facility if urgently required.

High touch areas such as keypads, push pads, door handles, taps, door locks etc will have been treated with a long lasting (up to 30 days) anti-microbial shield which kills germs and the virus. However, we would still recommend regular handwashing with soap.

  • A detailed cleaning guide with the chemical free systems we are using will be clearly displayed.
  • Please leave facilities as you would wish to find them – Respect your fellow guests

Contactless Payments and Cash

To reduce the transmission of the Coronavirus and the associated risk to our staff, all payment of goods on site must be made by card or contactless methods such as Apple Pay. We have no facility to take cash at any of our tills and the Cash ATM will not be available. Dare Devil Activities and slots for the tennis courts must be pre-booked online at www.riverdart.co.uk

The Park Shop

Opening Times – due to more regular cleaning the shop will be closed for periods during the day. Please follow the One-Way arrows and remain ‘Socially Distant’.
